Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (10:00am to 2:30pm for programs)

What is PHP?

This program is an intensive and structured method of treatment alternative to hospitalization.
It offers the flexibility to deal with a very wide range of psychiatric conditions.
Treatment is five to six days a week, time limited, ambulatory, and active.
Those experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms, who might otherwise be hospitalized without the support of this program, will benefit from PHP.

How does PHP compare with other options?

How does IOP and OPS compare with other options?

The intensive outpatient program and outpatient psychiatric services are often a moderate to longer term process.
Patients who are no longer at risk for hospitalization, but still require intensive treatment to prevent decompensation, are served at this level of care.
Patients usually attend one to four days a week.
These patients are either scaling down from PHP or attend to prevent utilization of higher levels of care, such as an inpatient stay.

Staff

Our staff consists of psychiatrists, medical physicians, registered nurses, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, and others.
These professionals have experience in diagnosing and treating patients with chronic mental illness.
They work as a team with each patient and their family and/or careprovider, building on the patient’s strengths to help them achieve the highest possible level of functioning and quality of life.
We provide transportation to and from the Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Programs if necessary.
During program hours, a continental breakfast and lunch is provided to all patients.

What does “Partial Hospitalization Program” mean?

What does the treatment day consist of?

PHP provides four groups each day. We offer strengths based, participant centered treatment based on information from the goal setting group. Groups are tailored to benefit the unique needs and objectives of our participants with an emphasis on promoting hope and fostering the realization of your best possible future. Groups at PHP address topics on: depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges, co-occurring disorders, suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, diversity issues, and trauma. All groups and individual therapy are provided by licensed/registered clinicians who operate from a recovery and wellness perspective. Clinicians are trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness based treatment approaches and other therapies.

What is expected of me when I come to PHP?

This program sounds good, but what do I have to pay? What will my copay be?

Most insurance coverage has a Behavioral Health Benefit(s) which often includes Partial Hospitalization. However, every insurance company is different and there is no universal answer. We will work with your administrator or customer service representative to determine the amount of copay your individual insurance/plan requires for this type of treatment. Copays will vary depending on your insurance plan. Discharge planners can also help answer these questions.

I have a lot going on in my life, can I come only a few days a week because of work, school, etc?

So how long can I stay in this program?

How long until I am discharged from the program?

Transition from care/discharge is based on progress towards the goals that you and your treatment team have set. Symptom management and/or reduction, what your insurance company is willing to pay, and what level of care to which you are transferring into is also taken into account. With the help of the multidisciplinary team, your Doctor will collaborate with you regarding your final discharge date.

Will I see a psychiatrist while in the program? What medical support is provided at PHP?
