Providing Hope and Healing: Treatment for Self-Harm & Suicidal Ideation | Ocean View

Structured Support for Stabilization and Continued Healing

Ocean View Psychiatric Health Facility provides outpatient psychiatric treatment for individuals who do not require inpatient care but still need structured, therapeutic support. Our outpatient services help patients develop the skills, insight, and confidence needed to manage their symptoms and move forward in recovery.

Our Outpatient Levels of Care

We offer two levels of outpatient psychiatric care, each tailored to meet your needs and stage of recovery:

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is a structured day program offering therapeutic support and medication management for individuals who benefit from regular clinical engagement. PHP includes:
  • 5 days a week (Monday–Friday, 10:00am–2:30pm)
  • 4 engaging group sessions daily, focused on:
    • Psychoeducation
    • Skill-building
    • Medication compliance
    • Coping strategies and daily life management
  • Catered lunch and snacks provided
  • Medication management and symptom tracking by clinical staff
  • Transportation available to and from the facility
PHP is ideal for patients who are ready to transition from inpatient care or who need consistent, structured support while living at home.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP offers flexible care for individuals stepping down from PHP or seeking support while balancing school, work, or family responsibilities. IOP includes:
  • 2 to 4 days a week based on your clinical needs
  • Group therapy sessions focused on:
    • Emotional regulation
    • Coping mechanisms
    • Stress management
    • Community reintegration
  • Medication management included
  • Catered lunch and snacks
  • Transportation coordination available

What’s Included in Our Outpatient Services

Each patient is assessed to determine the most appropriate level of care. Our programs are structured to meet patients where they are at.

Psychoeducation & Life Skills Development

All outpatient services include psychoeducational groups that help patients understand and manage their symptoms. Topics include:
  • Recognizing personal triggers
  • Learning coping strategies
  • Building routines and structure
  • Practicing medication compliance
  • Planning for outpatient follow-up care
These groups are especially helpful for individuals who need structured support in rebuilding essential life skills during recovery. Our goal is to empower patients with the confidence and knowledge they need to function independently and successfully after treatment.

Medication Management

Our medical director and psychiatric team work closely with patients to adjust medications, monitor effectiveness, and support compliance. Consistent communication and check-ins help patients stay on track and reduce the risk of symptom recurrence.

Conditions We Treat

Ocean View provides outpatient psychiatric treatment for a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, including:
  • Generalized, social anxiety, and panic disorders
  • Depression and major depressive disorder
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder
  • PTSD and trauma-related conditions
  • Borderline personality disorder
  • OCD
  • Self-harm, burnout, and anger issues

Meet Our Team

Our multidisciplinary team includes Medical Director, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and recreational therapists. Together, they create a compassionate, structured environment where healing can begin.
The team collaborates daily on individualized treatment plans, provides expert medication management, and leads engaging group sessions focused on skill-building and symptom management. Each staff member is committed to treating patients with dignity and respect—and is known for their kindness, empathy, and unwavering dedication to each patient’s well-being.

On-Site Medical Director

Our medical director plays an active role in stabilizing symptoms and adjusting medications to support lasting change. They conduct psychiatric evaluations, oversee the medication stabilization process, and collaborate closely with the treatment team to make timely, individualized adjustments based on symptom feedback and patient progress.
Patients meet with the medical director or psychiatric team regularly, ensuring that care plans remain responsive and effective. This high level of involvement helps promote medication compliance, reduce symptom flare-ups, and support long-term stability after discharge.

Discharge Planning and Aftercare

We begin preparing for discharge on day one. Our social workers assess patient needs throughout treatment to ensure a smooth transition. Discharge planning includes:
  • Coordinated follow-up with outpatient providers
  • Help accessing medications and appointments
  • Case management support for housing, benefits, and resources
Patients may also opt into our Patient Resource Network, which offers routine follow-up calls after discharge to check on medication access and ongoing stability.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your healing journey, Ocean View’s outpatient psychiatric treatment programs offer the structure, support, and care you need to thrive.
